Please Note: Matetsi Game Lodge is self-catering and ideal for families and groups of 6-12 people – When costs are shared, Matetsi Game Lodge becomes an affordable Luxury Bushveld escape.
Bookings are exclusively per group, ensuring complete privacy and an uninterrupted bushveld experience. When you book Matetsi, the entire lodge, wildlife estate and facilities are yours to enjoy!
The Lodge
The Lodge is the heart of the property—a spacious and inviting entertainment area designed for relaxation and connection. With its open layout and warm bushveld character, it offers the perfect space to unwind after a day outdoors.
Guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including a pool table, darts, an arcade machine with thousands of games, and a selection of board games. The comfortable lounge area features a large TV, while the fully equipped bar with ample seating creates a lively social atmosphere.
The lodge also includes indoor and outdoor braai areas and a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Separate men’s and women’s bathrooms add to the comfort and practicality.
Surrounded by a lush, green garden and beautiful views, and also a jacuzzi outside, the lodge provides a peaceful yet vibrant setting—ideal for both relaxation and entertainment.

Each unit provides a peaceful retreat after a day in the veld, with cozy interiors, comfortable bedding, and everything guests need for a relaxed stay. Surrounded by nature, guests can enjoy quiet mornings, fresh air, and evenings under open skies.
Chalet 1
Chalet 1 offers a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, featuring two beautifully appointed bedrooms and a modern bathroom, with open-plan kitchen and lounge area provides everything needed for a relaxing stay, while the overall design creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. With its elegant finishes and cozy feel, this house is ideal for guests looking to unwind in style.
Chalet 2
Chalet 2 offers the same level of comfort and sophistication, featuring two beautifully designed bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and lounge area, and a stylish, modern bathroom. With its luxurious finishes and cozy atmosphere, it provides the perfect space to relax and unwind in complete comfort.
Rondavel
The Rondavel offers a unique and charming stay, combining traditional style with modern comfort. It features two cozy and luxurious bedrooms, along with a small, beautifully finished bathroom. While it does not include a kitchen, it includes a small cozy lounge area with a coffee station—perfect for enjoying a warm drink while relaxing in a peaceful setting.
For added comfort and convenience, housekeeping services are available at an additional cost, and must be booked in advance. Services include cleaning, dishwashing, and general upkeep during your stay.

Wildlife you may see include: Impala, Zebra, Sable, Golden Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Nyala, Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Blesbuck, Bushbuck, Duiker, Warthog, Ostrich and Bushpigs
We can arrange Game Drives for your group of up to 9 Guests.
Game drives are in the early morning or late afternoon and last about 2 hours.
Please note: Game drives are optional and and must be Booked in advance and carry an additional cost per day!
